As proof that miracles do happen it was 81 degrees and sunny when we left Buffalo this morning. We made the short drive to Niagara Falls and easily found a parking spot on the American side of the Falls. Our first stop was the Maid of the Mist boat tour.

After the boat ride we went up to the observation tower and then took a walk through the park at the top of the falls. We ended up at the Cave of the Winds where you can walk a series of decks and walkways that are amazingly close to the rushing water.
After the Maid of the Mist and Cave of the Winds tours we were pretty sure that we had seen the best the falls had to offer but our hotel proved us wrong. We crossed into Canada and checked into the Sheraton on the Falls. I am pretty sure that the pictures won't do it justice but it is the nicest hotel room we both have ever stayed in.
While the room is really great, nothing can top the views. There are three wall sized windows including one in the bathroom, each with a full view of both falls. The best part is the corner balcony which is where we took the picture below from. Click on the picture to get the full view.
One last set of pictures. After we got settled in the hotel room we took a walk along the Canadian side of the falls and then went out to eat.
